There always seem to be a few overripened bananas left over at my house. I always seem to fall back to the same recipes to use up bananas. My family loves peanut butter and chocolate, so I thought I’d try something new. These brownies smell heavenly while they are baking, and with the gooey, cakey center, they are sure to be a hit!
4 very ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup flour
½ cup cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
½ cup chocolate chips (I used dark chocolate)
¼ cup peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350°
In a medium mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Add the sugars, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add the flour, cocoa and salt and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into a 9×13 inch pan that is lightly greased. Put small spoonfuls of peanut butter in six places, spread out, over the top of the batter. Use a dinner knife two swirl the peanut butter around. Bake for 30 minutes of until a pick comes out clean in the center. Enjoy!
