perfect meat dry rub

My husband loves to eat meat, and he loves to grill.  I try to keep healthy meals on the regular for our family, but occasionally we enjoy having a grilling day.  We have been working on perfecting our rub recipe, and this one is a winner.  It works great on any kind of meat.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon salt

½ tablespoon pepper

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon cumin

1 tablespoon paprika

Instructions

It’s as simple as mix all the ingredients together on this one.  We made chicken with this rub, but it tastes great on any meat.  We rubbed about a tablespoon of oil on all the chicken pieces (in this case we used all of the rub and grilled a spatchcocked whole chicken in addition to four legs and four thighs) before covering all of the pieces with the dry rub.  If you are making less meat, the rub stores beautifully in an air tight container for your next grilling day!
